Genesis - 7 The Flood Begins

Genesis - 7 The Flood Begins

Genesis 7 — The Flood Begins

1️⃣ Entering the Ark

God said to Noah:

“Go into the ark — you and your entire family.
I have seen that you alone are righteous in this generation.”

God instructed Noah to bring:

  • Seven pairs of every clean animal (male and female),

  • One pair of every unclean animal,

  • And seven pairs of birds, so life could continue after the flood.

God warned Noah:

“In seven days, I will send rain on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.
Everything living on the land will be wiped out.”

Noah obeyed everything God commanded.

2️⃣ The Flood Starts

Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came.

Noah, his wife, his sons — Shem, Ham, and Japheth — and their wives entered the ark.
Animals of every kind followed, just as God had instructed.

After seven days, the flood began.

  • Underground waters burst open.

  • Heavy rain poured from the sky.

Rain fell day and night for 40 days and 40 nights.

3️⃣ God Seals the Ark

As the waters rose, God Himself shut the door of the ark, sealing Noah and his family inside.

The floodwaters:

  • Covered the land,

  • Lifted the ark high above the earth,

  • Continued rising until even the highest mountains were covered.

Everything on dry land — people, animals, birds — died.
Only Noah and those with him in the ark survived.

4️⃣ Total Destruction

The waters flooded the earth for 150 days.
All life outside the ark was completely wiped out.

Summary in Today’s Terms

  • God gave humanity time to repent, but they did not.

  • Noah trusted God and obeyed, even when the warning sounded unbelievable.

  • The flood shows both judgment and protection — destruction for evil, but safety for those who trusted God.

  • The ark represents salvation through obedience and faith.

Genesis 7 reminds us that God is both just and merciful. While the flood shows the seriousness of sin, the ark shows God’s desire to save those who trust Him. Noah’s obedience teaches us that faith often means listening to God even when the world does not understand.

Health - 1 - Health Through God’s Eyes

Health Through God’s Eyes When we talk about health today, most people immediately think about diets, gyms, or supplements. And while those things matter, the Bible shows us that true health goes way beyond just the body. Your health is body, mind, and spirit all working together , and God cares about every part of you. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, the Bible says: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you…? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” This means that taking care of yourself isn’t just about looking good or feeling better—it’s a way to honor God . Every choice you make about food, rest, or even your thoughts is an act of stewardship over the life God has given you. In today’s fast-paced world, we often ignore this truth. We eat on the go, skip sleep, let stress run wild, and push our minds and bodies past their limits. It’s no surprise that sickness, burnout, and emotional struggles are e...

Finance - 3 - Be Wise with What You Have

Be Wise with What You Have God doesn’t just bless us with resources — He calls us to manage them wisely . Wisdom in finances isn’t about how much you have but how you use what’s been trusted to you. The Bible says in Proverbs 21:20 , “The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down.” In today’s language, that means: smart people save and plan ahead, but careless spending leads to stress and regret. In today’s world, it’s easy to fall into the trap of instant gratification — the latest phone, new clothes, fancy coffee, or online impulse buys. But God invites us to live differently. He teaches us to think long-term , to plan, and to avoid being controlled by money or possessions. True wisdom isn’t about chasing wealth; it’s about using what you already have with purpose . Financial wisdom includes budgeting, saving, giving, and staying away from unnecessary debt. It’s about saying, “God, how do You want me to use what You’ve given me?” When we manage mone...

Relationships - 1 - God’s Blueprint for Relationships

God’s Blueprint for Relationships Relationships are one of the most beautiful parts of life—but also one of the hardest. Whether it’s marriage, friendship, or family, we’ve all faced moments when love gets complicated, trust is broken, or forgiveness feels impossible. In a world full of mixed messages about love and connection, it’s easy to forget that God actually gave us a clear blueprint for how to build healthy, lasting relationships. From the very beginning, God said, “It’s not good for man to be alone.” (Genesis 2:18) We were created for connection—not just romantic relationships, but real, meaningful ones built on love, honesty, and faith. The problem is, society often teaches us to focus on what we can get from others, while God’s Word teaches us to focus on what we can give. When we step back and look at relationships through God’s eyes, everything changes. Love becomes more than a feeling—it becomes a daily choice. Marriage becomes more than a piece of paper—it becomes a ...
